Monique was literally the best host we have ever had. She met us at the suite, sat down and immediately offered iced beverages. She then sat with us and our map and gave wonderful instructions on one way roads and what was worth our time. She also knew local contacts and reached out to them on the spot. I absolutely loved staying at the Tala Lodge!This place is wonderful. Monique took great care of everything and was incredibly attentive. You can really see the love and attention to detail throughout the property.The room was beautifully and tastefully decorated, creating such a warm and comfortable atmosphere.The terrace and the outdoor kitchen were fantastic! We kwamen hier onze honeymoon doen en werden hartelijk ontvangen met een flesje bubbels en de handdoeken leuk gedraaid op bed.

Het verblijf was zeer aangenaam al vonden we het iets minder fijn dat de verhuurster tot 3 maal toe binnenkwam in onze ruimte om de airco af te zetten wanneer we er niet waren. Eventueel met een kaartsysteem werken zodat de elektriciteit vanzelf stopt of dit bij de huurprijs in calculeren lijkt me fijner.

Voor de rest hadden we gezellige ochtenden in de tuin, goede douches en wifi en fijne avonden in/aan het zwembad. Deze wordt elke dag proper gemaakt.

Monique haalde ons op bij het vliegveld en gaf bij aankomst in het appartement een rondleiding met duidelijke instructies. Het appartement is goed voorzien van alle gemakken zoals een airco, een tuinset, serviesgoed, een haardroger, etc. Gezellige inrichting ook. Badhanddoeken e.d. werden regelmatig verwisseld en eens per week werd het appartement helemaal schoongemaakt. Wij werden bij vertrek ook weer keurig bij het vliegveld afgezet. Wij hebben een prima verblijf gehad en bevelen deze locatie van harte aan.

When we were looking into places to stay on the island we had narrowed it down to two choices. Both sounded right for us and, having no idea of the layout of the area, both seemed an equally good choice. The one small “extra” with the Tala Lodge was that the owner would meet and pick us up at the airport and bring us to her place! We were met at the gate by Monique with a sign looking for us. It was seamless. It was the perfect, place for us. Private patio, cooking area and small refrigerator, fan outside and AC inside and a very nice bathroom. A small pool to cool in made it so nice to step into. Here’s the big value that we found after we had been on the island for a few days; this place is located very close the the cruise ship (and therefore restaurants and activity) while the other one would not have been a convenient walk to it at all. Understand that “close to” is different than “in the middle of”. We weren’t in the hustle and bustle but could walk there easily in 10 min
